There were over fifty thousand cases of bank loan defaulters but only 740 cases were presented before Justice Jamshed Commission.Justice Jamshed Commission scrutinized those 740 bank loan skippers carefully and managed to unearth many big names amongst dodgers.

According to the report, former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and his wife took loan of Rs. 40 million on name of Naqi Beverages but they got clean chit after returning only eight million rupees.

PPP Senator Islamuddin Sheikh’s three companies took 235 million rupees, former Balochistan CM Jam Yousuf’s Ghee Mills took 130 million rupees as loan, and they were written off.Laghari Family’s textile mills took 304.7 million rupees but did not bother to return those and managed to get those cleared from their names.

Nawab of Kalabagh family took and evaded 100 million rupees and a notorious character in Steel Mills Scam, Riaz Lalji, took 910 million rupees on five companies names but never bothered to return those and later on they were written off from his name.
