LAHORE: Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has taken oath as Punjab Governor at a ceremony held here at the Governor’s House on Monday.
Lahore High Court Chief Justice Atta Muhammad Bandial administered oath to the new governor. The oath taking ceremony was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, provincial ministers, lawyers and others. Chaudry Muhammed Sarwar is a former Member of the British Parliament who had been elected from Glasgow on a labor party ticket. Sarwar gave up his British citizenship in order to become the Governor of Pakistan’s largest province.
