Governor Punjabâ€™s resignation accepted

LAHORE: The resignation of Governor Punjab Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood has been accepted by acting President Nayyar Bukhari.

Mehmood had resigned from the post following the win of the PML-N in the general elections held on May 11.

The cabinet division has issued a notification regarding the acceptance of Mehmood’s resignation.
