A loose wheel from the car of Red Bull's Mark Webber struck cameraman Paul Allen, breaking his collarbone.

According to British media the ban will only allow event marshals and team personnel to be present in the pit lanes.

The cameramen will only be able to film from the pit lane wall according to F1 boss Bernie Acclestone.

Other media people will also be restricted to the pit lane wall.

Sunday's incident occurred as Red Bull driver Webber was leaving the pits following a tyre change that had taken longer than usual.

The Australian was released without the right rear wheel being properly secured and after it came free of the car it bounced into Allen, striking the Briton from behind.

The FIA will be seeking a change to regulations making it compulsory for team personnel and people present in the pit lanes to wear head protection gear, and the speed limit in the pits will be reduced from 100 kmh to 80 kmh.
