Mian Iftikhar for immediate steps to improve Pak-US ties

Provincial Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain Monday called for immediate pragmatic measures to dispel negative image of USA among masses and to improve Pak-US relations.Talking to Consulate General Peshawar Robert Reed here, he said Pakistan, USA and Afghanistan have to end distrust in relationship of each other and take unanimous stance whether to take action against terrorists or to hold dialogue with them.He said peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is a big challenge for the ANP-led provincial government and it has taken numerous measures to curb terrorism and extremism, said a handout issued here.He said due to anti-terrorism policies of ANP-led provincial government, the terrorists attacked many of its leaders and workers, adding that so far two members of provincial assembly of ANP and over 750 party workers have been killed by terrorists in various attacks.
