MQM rejects PM, Sattar meeting

KARACHI: The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has rejected a meeting between party leader Dr Farooq Sattar and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

MQM leader Khalid Maqbool said that Dr Sattar had no desire of a photo session with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Government sources had earlier confirmed that Prime Minister Sharif would hold a one-on-one meeting with Dr Sattar today (Tuesday).

The decision came following the withdrawal of Dr Sattar’s invitation to attend the federal cabinet session to review the law and order situation in Karachi on Wednesday.
