ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Tuesday moved the Supreme Court, seeking change in the date of presidential election. The petitioner requested the court to change the election date to July 30. The petition has been moved in light of the decision of the Election Commission for not deferring the earlier date fixed for 6th of August. The government had requested the commission to re-schedule the election date as a number of parliamentarians who have to cast their votes have proceeded to Saudi Arabia for Umrah besides observing Eitkaaf and they will come back after Eid.
