The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief, Altaf Hussain, has expressed his grief and sorrow on the killing of MQM MPA Manzar Imam along with his security guards, Geo News reported.
Talking to Coordination Committee members over the phone from his London residence, he strongly condemned the cowardly incident."This is a vicious attempt to the destroy peace and order in the city" said he.
"Though, his is an irreparable loss, but it too shall not deter our determination", said Altaf Hussain.Hussain asked the MQM workers and the people not to get provoked on this incident of blatant terrorism.
Announcing three-day mourning over the murder of Manzar Imam, he urged on them to understand and foil the conspiracy of the elements that want to create a law and order situation in Karachi.
I urge the people at large to put their differences behind and join hands against he menace of terrorism" Altaf said.He said that earlier MQM MPA Raza Haider was also gunned down but the killers were never arrested.
"The bloodthirsty killers are roaming freely and innocent workers of the MQM and general public have been left to their mercy", said he.He said that the brutal murder of MPA Manzar Imam was a continuation of the wave of terrorism gripping the country, which has engendered a pervading sense of insecurity among common people.
MQM leader demanded of the federal and provincial governments and heads of the law-enforcing agencies to take immediate notice of the brutal murder of MPA Manzar Imam and his guards. He said that the killers must be brought to justice.
He offered heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and said that their grief was equally shared and felt by each worker of the MQM. He prayed Almighty Allah to shower His blessings on the departed soul and give courage and patience to the grieving family members.
