KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) has announced a new schedule for CNG loadshedding which will be effective starting next week, Geo News reported. According to the new schedule, CNG stations will remain closed on every alternate day. Chairman CNG Dealers Association, Abdul Sami Khan said that he has been informed about SSGC’s plan to observe alternate day CNG closure. He added that the decision is unacceptable for the people of Sindh. He alleged that it has been schemed to transfer Singh’s gas to Punjab. Transporters say that approximately 95% percent of public transport runs on CNG and that new loadshedding schedule will create great difficulty for commuters. Sources say, that the decision has been taken to divert Gas from the CNG sector to the power sector to curb the energy shortfall.
