Source: Tribune | 15-02-2013

England paceman Steve Finn says his team will stick to basics for its third and deciding Twenty20 match against New Zealand today. With the series tied at 1-1, Finn believes the finale at the Westpac Stadium will be as exciting as the first two matches.

“Our basic principles will be the same,” said Finn, according to Cricket365.com. “We just have to make sure we nail our plans and skills. That’s when we’ll win games of cricket.“It’s certainly going to be an exciting end to the series. We’ve played some good cricket at stages throughout the two games — excellent in the first and then at times in the second. We’re ready for the game tomorrow, and it will be good fun.”

England’s Bresnan undergoes elbow opMeanwhile, another England seamer Tim Bresnan will hope to revive his international career on home soil later this year after undergoing surgery in the US on a longstanding elbow problem. The 27-year-old Yorkshireman was left out of England’s ongoing limited overs and Test tour of New Zealand in order to have the operation and now Bresnan will hope to be fit in time for the return home series against the Black Caps starting on May 16.England officials said Bresnan would face between six to eight weeks of rehabilitation following an ‘uncomplicated operation’.
