The government has revised already lucrative Management Position (MP) salary package and perquisites with effect from January 2013.The Finance Division has issued a notification on Wednesday stating, “Prime Minister has been pleased to approve the revision of Management Position (MP) salary package and perquisites with effect from January 2013”.
Management Position (MP) scale is special salary package and perquisites given to the officers working in public department on contract basis/special assignments. The new basic pay of Management Position officers would be in range from Rs 77,000 to Rs 3,24,000 apart from getting house rent and utilities. The salary packages, under Management Position, were already high as it was in the range of Rs 57,050 to Rs 2,40,000.
For MP-1: According to the notification issued here, the minimum basic pay of Management Position-I (MP-I) has been increased to Rs 2,63,000 from existing Rs 1,95,000 and maximum basic pay for the same position has been revised to Rs 3,24,000 from existing Rs 2,40,000. Meanwhile, the minimum house rent for MP-I has been revised to Rs 1,01,000 from Rs 75,000 and maximum house rent has been enhanced to Rs 1,42,000 from existing Rs 1,05,000. Similarly, minimum utilities bill has been increased to Rs 13,100 from Rs 9,750 and maximum utilities bill has been revised to Rs 16,200 from Rs 12,000.
For MP-2: The notification further revealed that the minimum basic pay of Management Position-II (MP-II) has been increased to Rs 1,10,000 from existing Rs 81,500 and maximum basic pay for the same position has been revised to Rs 1,76,000 from existing Rs 1,30,400. Meanwhile, the minimum house rent has been revised to Rs 66,000 from Rs 48,900 and maximum house rent has been enhanced to Rs 1,10,000 from existing Rs 81,500.Similarly, minimum utilities bill has been increased to Rs 5,500 from Rs 4,075 and maximum utilities bill has been revised to Rs 8,800 from Rs 6,520.
For MP-3: The minimum basic pay of Management Position-III (MP-III) has been increased to Rs 77,000 from existing Rs 57,050 and maximum basic pay for the same position has been revised to Rs 1,10,000 from existing Rs 81,500. Meanwhile, the minimum house rent has been revised to Rs 33,000 from Rs 24,450 and maximum house rent has been enhanced to Rs 44,000 from existing Rs 3,26,000. Similarly, minimum utilities bill has been increased to Rs 3,850 from Rs 2,855 and maximum utilities bill has been revised to Rs 5,500 from Rs 4,075.
The monetisation of transport facility shall be admissible to all future appointments against MP scale in lieu of present facility of one Chauffeur Driven car maintained at government’s/corporation’s expense for official and private use and petrol limit as provided in Finance Division’s OM No. 3(7) R-4/98 dated 18-08-1998 and 01-09-1998. Monetized value for MP scale holders would be as MP-I, Rs 95,910, MP-II, Rs 77,430 and MP-III Rs 65,060.
