Former England wicketkeeper Paul Nixon has alleged that the final ODI of the three-match series between India and Pakistan was fixed.

The hosts beat Pakistan by 10 runs in a nail-biting clash at Delhi's Ferozshah Kotla on Sunday night. Nixon claimed that Pakistan team deliberately threw the last game as they had already won the series.

"Pakistan throwing this game away eh ! #thereisasurprise 24 from 24 ... Strangely my money is on India $$$$ from here ... Watch this space," tweeted Nixon. "Pakistan will just loose last few balls.

When asked by a follower whether the match was fixed, Nixon replied: “@DaveEmrys: @Paulnico199 are you suggesting that Pakistani cricketers would throw a match?” r u watching the game ??? He further retweeted several tweets, "this game is a joke especially when u see Hafeez plays a lap sweep with a leg slip in place."

In June last year also, Nixon has created a controversy through his book "Keeping Quiet - Paul Nixon" where the 42-year-old has claimed that he was offered five million dollars by an Indian bookie for throwing a T20 match.
