LAHORE: Cricketer Muhammad Asif and the police are at odds over the former Pakistani seamer being robbed near Ghazi road here on Wednesday. Asif claims that he was robbed while returning home from the airport and his watch, mobile phone and Rs 90,000 in cash were stolen. However, the police said that this was a personal dispute and not a robbery. According to the police a case was lodged against Asif for causing damages at a local restaurant. Addressing a news conference, Asif said that some police personnel were friends with robbers and were not cooperating and spreading false news. Asif denied being in a fight with any restaurant owner.
