Pakistan took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match ODI series

Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by a convincing eight-wicket margin in the fourth day-night international in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, taking an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

Saeed Ajmal (4-39) and Umar Gul (3-37) kept Sri Lanka down to 225 all out in 48.5 overs before Mohammad Hafeez scored 113 not out for his third century of the series to help Pakistan chase down the target in 41.1 overs.

Pakistan won the first match by 11 runs and third match by 113 runs -- both in Sharjah -- while Sri Lanka won the second game by two wickets in Dubai.
