CHILAS: Police has registered a case against unknown culprits involving killing of 11 people including nine foreign tourists and two Pakistanis late on Saturday night at Nanga Parbat tourists Base camp near Bunar Nullah, Geo News reported. According to sources, the case was registered in Gonar Farm police station. Those killed included tourists from China, Ukraine and Russia. However, identities of the eight tourists have been ascertained. Later, the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility of the attack which has been strongly denounced by Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and international community. The men, who attacked and executed foreign tourists and two Pakistanis, were wearing Gilgit Scouts uniforms. They abducted two guides and through them reached the area. One guide was killed in the shootout while the other is alive. He is currently detained and being questioned.
