Putin condoles over Quetta killings

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Tuesday, convey his condolence to his President Zaradri over the loss of lives in Quetta.


Russian Ambassador in Pakistan Andrey S Budnik, Tuesday, called on the President Asif Ali Zardari here at Aiwan-e-Sadr and delivered a condolence letter from President Vladimir Putin over the loss of lives in the terrorist attack in Quetta,Spokesperson Senator Farhatullah Babar Russian Ambassador said that President Putin described the terrorist attack as ‘barbaric’ and condemned it as “a criminal act aimed at destabilization of the situation in Pakistan”.


We also support the efforts of the Government of your country in the fight against terrorism and extremism”, the letter said.The Russian President in his letter also conveyed sympathy and support to the near and dear ones of those killed and wished speedy recovery to all those injured.President Zardari thanked the Ambassador and asked him to also convey his thanks and appreciation to the Russian President for his gesture.President Asif Ali Zardari on the occasion said that Pakistan considers Russia as a source of stability and peace both at regional and global level and underlined the need to further strengthen relations and increased contacts at the highest level.the President also hosted lunch for the Russian Ambassador.
