Drone issue may give rise to Pak-US conflict: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said Thursday that drone strikes in the country’s tribal areas may give rise to a conflict between the United States and Pakistan.

Nisar informed the media that he had conveyed Pakistan’s reservations over drone strikes to the US ambassador which he said could impact the American withdrawal from Afghanistan and the situation following it.

The interior minister reiterated Pakistan’s stance of drone strikes violating the country’s sovereignty, adding that the widespread destruction caused by them was not acceptable.
