Source: Geo News | 27-08-2013

KARACHI: Traders of Karachi have held Sindh Government responsible for ‘bad’ law and order situation in the metropolis, announcing to observe strike for an indefinite period.

The traders staged a protest demonstration against extortion and target killings outside the Karachi Press Club.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader (MQM) Rasheed Godail also participated in the protest. He demanded of the government to bring Karachi under control of the army in a bid to save “economic engine” of the country.

He said that if the army could be called out for rehabilitation of flood affectees and for providing security during elections in the country then why not for maintaining peace in the metropolis.
