Petrol, diesel price-hike irks citizens

LAHORE: The people, who had high expectations from the newly elected government, felt deeply shocked and enraged to witness the continuation of the same old policy of raising prices of petrol and diesel prices to give a boost to revenue for meeting their lavish expenses, Geo News reported.

The misery of the owners of public and private transports further multiplied by the owners of the petrol pumps, of whom most had closed their outlets much before the 12 midnight, the cutoff time for new prices to become effective, while a few of them open witnessed long queues of cars and motorbikes jostling to get their petrol tanks filled causing much inconvenience to the harassed citizens.
