KARACHI: The top Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders met here at the Governor House to deliberate whether the party should support a consensus candidate or field one of its own for the upcoming election for the office of President of Pakistan, Geo News reported. During the two-hour long sitting, the MQM top brass discoursed in detail on various recommendations with regard to their political strategy for the presidential election, the sources said. The sources, however, added that MQM’s Coordination Committee would decide on it but the final say would be that of party head Altaf Hussain. The meeting among others was attended by MQM leaders Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar, and Governor Sindh, Dr Isharat-ul-Ebad Khan.
