Afridi tops tax payers list

Cricketer Shahid Afridi paid highest tax for the financial period from July 2012 to June 2013, while Saeed Ajmal was second on the list, Dunya News reported.
According to the tax directory issued by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Shahid Afridi paid the tax in the amount of twenty six lakh two thousand two hundred and ninety eight rupees in the financial year July 2012 to June 2013.
The second in the list is Saeed Ajmal who paid twenty one lakh forty five thousand two hundred and one rupees in tax in the same financial year.
Captain Misbah ul Haq ranked third in the number with the tax in the amount of twenty lakh fifty six thousand twenty nine rupees.
Batsman Umar Akmal remained on the middle order even in the matter of tax. He paid twelve lakh forty nine thousand forty four rupees as tax.
Former Captain Shoaib Malik paid nine lakh two thousand five hundred and thirty six rupees in tax.
Opener Nasir Jamshed is at the back-foot in this matter with the total of nine lakh two thousand five hundred and thirty four rupees in tax.
