The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued assets details of former parliamentarians, revelaing that PPP’s Noor Alam Khan as the richest with assets amounting to Rs 32 billion.
However, Jamshed Dasti has the least amount of assets with only his salary bank account.Former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has assets amounting to Rs 72 million. Ashraf has two cars valued at Rs 1.8 million, while his wife has 10 tolas of gold. The former prime minister has also taken Rs 8 million from his brother.
PMLN’s Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has Rs 8.3 million in his bank account. Nisar has a house in Rawalpindi and a farm house. The former opposition leader is also the owner of nine apartments.Ghulam Ahmed Bilour from the ANP has assets worth Rs 39.4 million, while Arbab Alamgir has a net worth of Rs 2 billion. Alamgir is also the owner of an apartment in Dubai worth Rs 40 million.
ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has assets worth Rs 10 million including 50 tolas of gold.JUI-F chief Maualna Fazlur Rehman has assets worth over Rs 5.5 million.Ameer Muqam from the PML-Q has assets worth Rs 160 million and seventeen cars.Pervaiz Elhai has Rs 64.1 million in his bank account, wealth worth Rs 8.9 million and investments of Rs 30.49 million.Former National Assembly Speaker Fehmida Mirza has assets of over Rs 80 million and an apartment worth Rs 15 million in Dubai.
In 2010, The data revealed that Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi as the richest man, owned 23-kanal agriculture land in D.I. Khan valuing Rs 500,000 , a bank account and cash assets of Rs 800,000 and furniture, fitting and articles for personal use worth Rs. 200,000.
ECP also revealed the assets amount of popular political parties. PPP-P: Rs 435,00, Total amount of PML-N: Rs 80 million, MQM: Rs 19.7 million, PTI: Rs 9.46 million, ANP: Rs 27.2 million, AML: Rs 70,000, JI: Rs 1.85 million, PML-Q:Rs 50.14 million.
