Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad Khan has arrived Karachi on Thursday following an orders from his party chief to resume his office as the provincial governor.
At the Karachi airport he talked to media and said , His resignation was his own decision while withdrawing it was the direction of his Quaid.Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain late Wednesday advised Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad to withdraw his resignation and resume his responsibilities.
Altaf called Ebad from London and asked the Governor to reconsider his resignation in light of requests made by people belonging to the business community, religious scholars and from different walks of life, stated a source from the party
Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan had left for London to meet Altaf Hussain on Feb 22 but stayed in Dubai for a week and sent his resignation to ruling PPP’s president Asif Ali Zardari.
The two biggest parties of sindh that is MQM and PPP has parted their ways after thw withdrawal of Local bodies act 2012 and imposition of Local government act 1979.
