Bannu attack a cowardly act

 While condemning the militants’ attack on Bannu police station Monday morning, Awami national Party (ANP) leader Asfandyar Wali and Senator Afrasiab Khattak said that the attack was a cowardly act, Geo News reported.

 

According to a statement issued here, Asfandyar Wali and Afrasiab Khattak condemned the attack on Bannu police station and said that the nation stands united against the terrorists and that is why they are carry out such cowardly acts.

The leaders said that the terrorists, by carrying out such attacks, cannot shake the government’s resolve against terrorism. Hundreds of policemen have sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism that can never be forgotten, the statement stated.

Asfandyar Wali and Afrasiab Khattak condoled with the affected families.

It may be mentioned that militants on Monday morning attacked a police station located on the outskirt of Bannu city where at least eight persons including three policemen were killed.

The banned militant outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed the responsibility of the attack.
