Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf has said that Bangladesh's tour to Pakistan will benefit the Bengal Tigers whereas Pakistan Super League (PSL) will become a source of international cricket return to Pakistan.
Zaka said here Wednesday that he was in talks with the government of Pakistan to make PSL non-taxable for seven years and there would be golden opportunity for the investors, who were willing to buy the PSL franchises.
“In two years, the value of franchises will be increased twofold and the income will not be subject to taxation,” he added. He even linked the investment in the PSL with real estate business. “The PSL is like a new housing scheme where the initial prize of the land is quite low, and those who invest at start get substantial benefit in future.”
He said the PSL would not be affected by Bangladesh's refusal to tour Pakistan in fact Bangladesh cricket would get affected by us. “Pakistan has always favoured Bangladesh's interests and we still want to be with them as it is in their interest and benefit,” he said.
Zaka said that many teams, including India, were ready to tour Pakistan but they needed guaranteed security. “Once a team tour Pakistan, it will open all the doors. I have talked to other teams as well.
