Source: The Nation | 23-01-2013

The Balochistan High Court(BHC) on Tuesday cancelled the interim bails of three accused in the Akbar Bugti murder case. The court cancelled the interim bails of former Balochistan chief minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf, former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao and former Balochistan Home Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani.

The BHC has directed all the accused to appear in the anti-terrorism court. The directive was issued by the BHC division bench headed by Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel. The Nawab Akbhar Khan Bugti murder case was registered in 2009 in which former president General (r)Pervez Musharraf, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former Balochistan governor Owais Ahmed Ghani, former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, former Balochistan chief minister and Jam Muhammad Yousuf and Shoaib Noshwaraniwere nominated.

Federal and provincial governments had assured the Balochistan High Court last year that the accused fled the country would be arrested by Interpol and be brought to the court. Despite issuance of arrest warrants, Owais Ahmed Ghani was not arrested while another accused Jam Muhammad Yousuf was made federal minister. The hearing of the case was started in an anti-terrorism court in Sibi but Jam Muhammad Yousuf, Aftab Ahmed Sherpao and Shoaib Nosharwani submitted applications in the BHC, pleading that they had life threats in Sibi. The BHC referred their applications to an ATC in Quetta for final judgment. The federal government had announced formation of judicial commission to investigate the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti but it failed to do so. Spiritual leader shot dead:
