Champions Trophy 2013: West Indies put Pakistan into bat
Source: GEO News | 07-06-2013

LONDON: West Indies have won the toss and elected to field in their Champions Trophy match against Pakistan being played at Oval on Friday.

Dwayne Bravo after winning the toss and putting Pakistan in said, "We want to bowl first and get the nerves out of the way. The wicket is good so we want to give the bowlers the best use of the freshness."

The Pakistan captain said "We would have bowled first, But it is a dry pitch and it's just a matter of seeing the new ball off. Pakistan's seamers are all left-arm bowlers: Irfan, Junaid and Wahab Riaz. Saeed Ajmal and Shoab Malik and Mohammad Hafeez will be the spinners

Big news from West Indies. West Indies have preferred Kieron Pollard over Sammy.

Sammy has not only lost his captaincy, but also his place in the ODI side. Kemar Roach, Ravi Rampaul and Sunil Narine are the only specialist bowlers.

Pakistan: Imran Farhat, Nasir Jamshed, Mohammad Hafeez, Asad Shafiq, Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal (wkt), Saeed Ajmal, Wahab Riaz, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Irfan

West Indies: Chris Gayle, Johnson Charles, Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Dwayne Bravo (capt), Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin (wkt), Sunil Narine, Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach
