QUETTA: Deputy Commissioner Abdul Mansoor Khan Kakar, who was killed on Saturday during a gun battle between militants and security forces at the Bolan Medical Coplex, has been laid to rest.

His funeral prayers were offered at the Police Lines late night. He was buried at a local graveyard with state honor. A large number of people from different walks of life, high police officials and other government functionaries attended the last rituals of the officer.

The 43 years old officer had rejoined his duty three months ago after a month of holidays, during which he performed Umra.

He had served as Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar, Information Department Director and Food Director during his service.
