Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman Monday said despite all the bloodshed, full advantage must be taken of the Taliban offer for a dialogue.
Talking to media persons here, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman suggested that the platform of tribal elders could prove helpful, in case the government finds it unfeasible to hold direct talks with the Taliban.
The JUI(F) Chief told the reporters that deliberations were currently being made to bring Jamat-e-Islami into the folds of Muttahida Majlis-e-Ammal (MMA).Responding to a question in connection with Tehreek Minhajul Quran leader Tahirul Qadri's proposed long march, he said he has not been taking it seriously. "But, in case someone took an unconstitutional step, all the parties would stand together to defend the system," he warned.
