General elections to be held before May 16: Kaira

Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister,Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that the general elections in the country will be held by May 16 after the National and Provincial assemblies complete their five year term.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the present assemblies will be dissolved on March 16 and the elections will be held within two months.He said according to an agreement with Qadri the cleric will be consulted on the nomination of caretaker Prime Minister.
