Govt plans to pay back circular debt within 60 days

SLAMABAD: Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar Thursday said the government had chalked out a plan to pay back circular of Rs 500 billion within 60 days.

Addressing a post-budget press conference, the minister said that the inflation rate would be maintained at 8 per cent.

Dar said the government would never let increase the volume of loans as it was the root cause of all the issues being faced by the country.

He said the government would spend the money only under the specified heads.
