Interior minister’s ultimatum to Sindh Govt violation of constitution, inappropriate, says Rabbani
Source: GEO News | 21-06-2013

ISLAMABAD: Senate leader of the opposition, PPP Senator Raza Rabbani Friday said that the interior minister’s ultimatum to Sindh government was inappropriate and in violation of constitution, Geo News reported.

Giving ultimatum to an elected government was not appropriate, the interior minister should come to the House and clarify his statement, demanded Senator Raza Rabbani in his address to the Senate session here.

Referring to IM Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s statement giving one-month ultimatum to Sindh government for controlling target killings in Sindh, Senator Raza Rabbani argued that law and order was a provincial subject, Sindh government has the mandate of the people, it was a dangerous trend and the IM should come to the House to clarify his statement.

Later, leader of the House PML-N Senator Raja Zafarul Huque said that the situation in the country would deteriorate, if Karachi law and order not restored. He assured asking IM to clarify his statement.
