Kamran's exhumation being delayed: Sana
Source: The News | 30-01-2013

Punjab law minister, Rana Sanaullah, Tuesday revealed that incomplete specimens --taken from the body of deceased National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officer, Kamran Faisal-- had been sent to Punjab Forensic Science Agency, Geo News reported.“A report based on the scanty specimens cannot be relied upon. It would only cast more doubts”, said he talking to Geo News here.

He alleged that certain federal departments were bent on stonewalling the opening of Kamran Faisal’s grave for the acquisition of new tissue samples for further forensic analysis, which is raising some serious questions.According to forensic experts the older the body the poorer the samples. Thus it was extremely important that the samples were collected as soon as possible for nearly a week has already lapsed since Kamran's burial", said PML-N leader.

Sanaullah also claimed that Punjab forensic laboratory experts wanted to collect the samples themselves but they were cold-shouldered by the respective authorities adding to the holdup.Meanwhile in response to a letter by the Punjab Forensic Science Agency, the Islamabad District Administration has said that the permission to exhume Kamran Faisal’s body will be given by Secretary Punjab.

Kamran Faisal, who was part of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team as an investigator to probe the Rental Power Projects (RPP) scam case, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room at the federal lodges. The Supreme Court decided to hold a separate hearing from the RPP case over Kamran Faisal’s death. NAB Chairman Fasih Bokhari has claimed that Kamran committed a suicide, while his family members maintain that he was murdered.
