The Judicial Commission, formed by Supreme Court to probe Lal Masjid Operation, will begin its work from today (Friday), Geo News reported.
One-member commission of senior judge of Federal Shariat Court, Justice Shehzad Al-Shaikh will present its findings in 45 days.Inspection team member of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Syed Muzafar Ali Shah has been nominated Secretary while Additional District and Session Judge Kamran Basharat as Additional Secretary of the commission.
Supreme Court (SC) had constituted a judicial commission to probe into the Lal Masjid operation on December 04.The commission has been tasked with ascertaining the reasons which led to the operation along with the number of deaths which took place during the operation. It will also ascertain whether the dead bodies were handed over and compensation paid to the heirs.
