Lawyers boycott courts in protest against attack on Justice Baqar

KARACHI: Lawyers boycotted court proceedings across the country in protest against bomb attack on Sindh High Court (SHC) senior judge Justice Maqbool Baqar in Karachi, Geo News reported.

In Karachi, on the call of Sindh Bar Council (SBC) appeal, the lawyers did not appear in the courts.

The lawyers’ fraternity also boycotted the courts in Nawabshah, Larkana, Badin, Tharparkar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sargodha, Kot Addo, Alipur, Quetta, Peshawar and other cities.

Lawyers said that attack on judge was tantamount to put hurdles in the way of justice. They demanded of the government to arrest the attackers of Justice Maqbool Baqar at the earliest.
