Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Mian Nawaz Sharif said that the youngsters will bring the change in the country on May 11 as they did in 1997.

Addressing a gathering in Sheikhupura on Tuesday, Nawaz said that the PPP government let down the country in every field.
He said: “If people elect the PML-N, the problem of load-shedding would be solved.” He said that the leaders who pushed the country into crises would be held accountable by the people, claiming that the PML-N would solve all the problems of the country and would provide opportunities to masses after coming into power.

He urged the people to change the destiny of the country by electing honest people. The PML-N president said that after coming into power, his party would set up a medical college in Sheikhupura and a sports gymnasium will be built in Farooqabad.

PML-N ticket holders; Mian Javed Latif, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Arif Sandhila, Sardar Irfan Dogar, Rana Tanveer Nasir, Faizan Khalid Virk were present on this occasion. Strict security measures were adopted by law enforcers in the city to avoid any untoward incident.

The locals greeted the former premier on the roofs of their houses when he was coming to the venue aboard a helicopter.
During an address in Lasbela, Nawaz Sharif said that certain elements did not want elections in the country but they will not be succeeded.

While condemning the murder of an independent candidate and his companions in Lasbela, Nawaz said that the caretaker government must take notice of the killings of political leaders and workers.

He called upon the caretaker government to take immediate action to thwart the conspiracies against elections. He said that timely and transparent elections were inevitable for the safety and progress of the country.

The PML-N chief said that timely election was the solution of terrorism and it would be a big defeat of undemocratic forces.
Separately, speaking to the party workers, Nawaz said that militancy and terrorism ‘have no room in the country where neither law nor religion and cultural traditions sanction use of violence against the fellow humans’.

He said: “The PML-N rejects militancy and extremism and condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. There is no justification for acts of violence, irrespective of any pretext or provocation.”

He said that neither militancy nor terrorism can be countered by mere use of force. “This is a problem that has penetrated deep into the society therefore, a comprehensive and sustainable plan of action that should include economic, social, administrative and political initiatives was needed to root out this menace.”

Nawaz said that after coming to power, the PML-N government would bring Fata into political mainstream. He said that a crash programme would also be launched to establish small and medium size industrial enterprises in tribal areas to provide employment to the youth and making them stakeholders in peace and security of the region.
