State Bank of Pakistan announced Friday that Monday December 31, 2012 is the last day for exchanging demonetized banknote of Rs.5 denomination from all the field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation and over 11000 branches of all commercial and microfinance banks operating in the country.
The SBP and its Banking Services Corporation will neither exchange nor be liable to pay any value of demonetized Rs.5 banknote to any person or organization after December 31.
The SBP advised the public to exchange the banknote of Rs.5 from the field offices of SBP BSC and branches of all banks till the close of banking hours by that day.
