Pakistan bemoans DPRK N-move
Source: The Nation | 13-02-2013

Pakistan on Tuesday regretted nuclear test by Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. “Pakistan regrets the government of DPRK has conducted underground nuclear test,” the Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement. “Pakistan believes that all countries should comply with their respective international obligations,” the statement said.

It says that Pakistan supports a nuke-free Korean Peninsula, which was agreed by all parties in the Framework Agreement of 1994 and reaffirms its support for the six-party talks. The DPRK said on Tuesday that it successfully conducted the third underground nuclear test, according to its official KCNA news agency. The test, which the DPRK claimed successful, was carried out at 11:57 am local time (0237 GMT) in the Kilju County, North Hamkyung Province. The nuclear test has sparked criticisms by the UN secretary general, the United States, Japan and several other countries.
