Prime Minister of Pakistan, Raja Pervez Ashraf, who is in Karachi these days, has suspended all official engagements and is overseeing the rescue operation in the wake of unfortunate bomb blast in Abbas Town.
According to a official statement, the Prime Minister held a meeting with Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and directed him to ensure the relief operation was redoubled.He also asked him to make sure all the injured were rushed to the hospitals and provided with the best medical care.
The Prime Minister also appealed to public and private hospitals to extend all possible medical help to the injured persons.
He also announced that Federal Government would foot all the medical bills of those injured in the Abbas Town blast.
Reiterating the Federal Government resolve to provide all possible assistance to the victims, the Prime Minister ordered the provincial administration to submit a comprehensive report about the incident.
PM Ashraf is in constant touch with relevant authorities and is personally monitoring the situation, the statement added.Earlier the Prime Minister condemned the incident and expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.
