Police arrest 53, recover arms from Karachi

KARACHI: Karachi police during last 24 hours arrested 53 accused including 16 absconders and proclaimed offenders and recovered arms from their possession.

Three police encounters occurred during which five accused were arrested. Overall, the police recovered 15 different types of firearms from the arrested accused.

Separately, 195 people were booked for violation of ban on pillion riding. Police spokesman said during last 24 hours five people were killed and 9 others injured in different mishaps.
