BIRMINGHAM: Rain stopped play for the second time in the match between Pakistan and India in the Champions Trophy here at Edgbaston on Saturday.

Pakistan were 70 for three with Asad Shafiq (14) and captain Misbah-ul-Haq (5) at the crease.

The batsmen dismissed were Nasir Jamshed (2), Mohammad Hafeez (27) and Kamran Akmal (21).

Earlier, Pakistan made 50 for one in 12 overs before rain stopped play for the first time after India captain Mahindra Singh Dhoni won the toss and put the Green Shirts into bat.

After play was resumed, Pakistan added 20 runs and lost two more wickets in seven overs.
