CARDIFF: Sri Lanka's captain Angelo Mathews won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand in a group A match of the Champions Trophy in Cardiff on Sunday.
Shaminda Eranga has been included in place of Nuwan Kulasekara while Daniel Vettori has come back in the New Zealand team. He played his last ODI over two years ago, in the 2011 World Cup.
This is the first match for both teams in the eight-nation tournament. England and Australia are the other two sides in the group, from which two will advance to the semi-finals.
England beat Australia in their opening game on Saturday.
