Issuing verdict in the fake degree case, the apex court said Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is authorized to disqualify a candidate over misstatement.The SC’s ten-page ruling states any decision regarding the certificates of the candidates will be made only after the verification by Higher Education Commission (HEC).Meantime, 189 former parliamentarians have been given another chance by April 5 for the verification of their degrees.
