Youm-e-Shuhada (Day of Martyrs) is being observed today (Tuesday) to pay tribute to those soldiers who laid their lives for the cause of the motherland.

On the occasion, people will pay tribute to the armed forces and its agencies that rendered sacrifices in war against terrorism.A special event chaired by Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani will also take place at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
