Source: The Nation | 30-04-2013

President Zardari and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Monday discussed the overall situation against the security backdrop in the run-up to elections.

Talking over the phone late night, Altaf Hussain apprised President Zardari of the terrorist attacks on MQM, ANP and PPP and the problems these parties were facing in election campaigns.

The President expressed deep grief over these incidents and assured the MQM chief of his full support. Both agreed to enhance contacts in the future.

The MQM chief earlier spoke to former interior minister Rehman Malik and said that moderate political force will confront with the international establishment which want to destabilise Pakistan.

The MQM leader said enlightened political forces will have to make joint struggle to save Pakistan.
Altaf Hussain said PPP‚ MQM and ANP will work as joint force to foil the evil designs of anti-Pakistan forces.
He said it is moral obligation of all liberal political forces to save Pakistan and give a bright future to the coming generations.
