SBC lauds Munir Malikâ€™s appointment as AGP

KARACHI: Expressing reservations over the appointment of Zahid Hamid as Law Minister for his alleged involvement in violence of November 3 against lawyers, Sindh Bar Council (SBC) leaders applauded Munir Malik’s appointment as Attorney General (AG), Geo News reported Friday.

Addressing a press conference, SBC Chairman Muhammad Aqil and Mehmood ul Hasan said that the decision of giving key posts to the people, who had been allegedly involved in the November 3 violence was not appropriate , adding that those involved in torturing lawyers has been made the law minister.

Appreciating the decision to appoint Munir A Malik as AG, SBC leaders claimed that neither Mr. Malik would give wrong advice nor will he defend government’s wrongdoings.
