PM Nawaz lifts ban on recruitments in IB

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has lifted the ban on recruitments in the Intelligence Bureau (IB), Geo News reported.

The premier announced this during his visit to the bureau on Friday. Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Information Minister Pervez Rasheed were also present on the occasion.

PM Nawaz was briefed on matters related to internal and external security besides actions against terrorism.

Nawaz Sharif, keeping in view the prevailing security situation in the country, lifted the ban on recruitments in Intelligence Bureau. He also approved various proposals to enhance the capability of the agency.

Nawaz also approved purchase of new and modern equipment for IB.
