ISLAMABAD: The wife of the Islamabad gunman, Kanwal was produced before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday. On the request of the police, the court sent Kanwal to jail on 14-day judicial remand and ordered to present her for hearing on September 11. The ATC also directed that the children of the Islamabad gunman, Malik Sikandar be placed in the custody of their maternal grandfather. On August 15, Sikandar brought the federal capital to a standstill for several hours in a standoff. Sikandar and his wife were shot at the conclusion of the standoff. Sikandar is recovering from bullet wounds to his leg and chest at the PIMS hospital.
