The Minister for Commerce, Khurram Dastgir, has said that understanding between Pakistan and India to accelerate steps to promote bilateral trade would benefit both countries.
Talking to newsmen at Wagah border on his return from New Delhi on Saturday‚ Dastagir said that during his meeting with his Indian counterpart‚ they agreed to provide non-discriminatory market access on reciprocal basis.
He said both sides agreed to shift to trade through containers. He said National Logistic Cell has the capability to scan containers in just two to three minutes in a comprehensive manner.
Dastagir said it has been decided to keep Wagah trade route open 24 hours for trade‚ which will be implemented in few weeks.
