PM Nawaz directs to suspend corrupt officials

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif has ordered ministers to get rid of corrupt and dishonest officials, and to ensure transparency and rule of law in their departments, Geo News reported Monday.

In a letter written to the federal ministers and secretaries, PM Nawaz Sharif stated that eliminating corruption is the government’s top priority, therefore, qualified, able and well-reputed officers should be deployed on management positions.

Furthermore, the ministries should ensure transparency and do not tolerate fraudulent officials, and instructed that such office-holders should immediately be sent packing.

PM Nawaz further instructed the ministers and secretaries to strictly follow the instructions as ineligible and corrupt officials cannot deliver better governance.
